Made a mess. How do I clean?
I'll second Jim Lane and the deer pee.
My kid one time was in the back of my old Bronco during hunting season and decides it's a good idea to open the bottle of concentrated fox pee... first whiff and he can't get the lid on fast enough...which results in spilled fox pee. On a long road trip... not good!
The simple green worked for me as well, but I've never spilled that much.

Still no cleanup. Been on the road this week, will have 1600 miles added to the odo by the time I get home tonight. SA and back twice with a round trip to DFW
No rest for the weary, CPR/AED class tomorrow after church. Maybe next week I can get to it.
As much coffee and water as I'm drinking with all my seat time, the truck's lucky I'm not peeing on the floorboard
Yall are right though. Glad it isn't something more pungent.

Finally had a chance today to try to clean this up. Decided to do a scrub down and rinse with Dawn. Direct applications of soap to the floor mat and door sill trim removed the Lucas. And after a lot of scrubbing and rinsing of the carpet I still can't get it out. The foam underneath has absorbed the oil that the only way to get it out is to ring it or squish it out of the foam. Probably can stick puppy pads under the carpet and let it squish out with use. But since those things are expensive I slid cardboard under there and squished out as much oil as I could. I did leave a piece under the carpet and I'll pull it out later.
Simple conclusion, won't get all the oil out unless I replace the carpet. Or won't get the majority of it out unless I pull the carpet and work on it.
Anyway just updating. Not removing the carpet is the biggest factor.
Oh I did not go with simple green because an ingredient in it makes me react pretty bad (like an allergy).

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Shorts, is it not possible to buy a bag of oil and water absorbent stuff (about $3 for an 8 lb. bag from AutoZone etc) and scatter a handful or two between the carpet and the foam, then vacuum it out every day or so and keep on throwing clean stuff in? Leave the sill off for now.
In the tow truck we used dryer sheets to absorb the tracked oil, crud, antifreeze....that gets between the mat and steel trim, carpet would usually cover that part but......it is a tow truck. glad you got to it!
hope that will the highest worry you have this month

i found the best solution ever
grease magnet comes in black jug green lettering
environmentally friendly
come in half gallon jug
by company called CLR
buy it at wally world
third isle in auto section
uses microbes to eat oil products
poor it on leave it alone
let it quietly sit and do it's thing
takes a few days too a week
remember no ac/dc or kiss music ether it needs peace and quiet during the day
keep them critters warm too
not to warm or too cold they can dye off real fast
say 65 to 70 ish
then in a few days
rip out carpet cause of the smell of the dead critters no stain though or grease lol
really simple green and or lestoil then vacuum works best
:0

Lary, that's curious about the lighter spots after you cleaned. It happened to our carpet in the house too when I cleaned up Chester's spills with Nature's Miracle or carpet cleaner. Never could figure out why the spot ended up lighter. I figured the clean spot was actually the real color of the carpet. The rest was just that dirty
Jwbm, dryer sheets sounds good. Plus smell good. I'm hoping the musty wet smell doesn't set in. This may fend it off.
Stan I though about some absorbent. I'm concerned about it scratching up the body underneath the carpet. And it's a little messy. I'm shuttling passengers around and I don't want to get their clothes dirty. All that said I may still need to give it a go. This cleanup is an ongoing effort
Tech-eh the stuff you mentioned is vacuumable? I like that the critters break down the oil.
Thanks yall for suggestions!
