Love the flags Everywhere!
Re:Love the flags Everywhere!
I know it's not much, but I felt that I should do SOMETHING on the site to show that we're praying and thinking about our troops here on the DTR. If there is anything that's important to us, it's the troops that are fighting for our freedom and for our country. I just wanted to throw something up reminding us about the sacrifices they're making so that we can pursue this hobby, and life safely in this country.

Jack

I have a POW flag at home. Time to stop at the hardware store for another flag mount and pole so I can fly the POW/MIA flag next to the American!

OK time for a sales Pitch.
Our Troops are overseas Now and all of us who have been there know that a word from Home means the world.
We (Veterans of Foriegn Wars) has a program called Operation UP Link. We send Phone Cards to Our Troops. We need Money to keep the Program going. I cant tell you how it feels to have a Serviceman or Woman tell you that your card allowed them to hear_________________you fill in the blanks from Babies words to the last time to talk to a parent that passed away.
PLEASE support this Project!!!
Operation Uplink is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card. Using contributions from supporters like you, Operation Uplink purchases phone cards and distributes them to servicemen and women who are separated from those they care about.
SPECIAL NOTE: As new threats surface from around the world, military deployments have increased dramatically. Operation Uplink is at the forefront of responding to the needs of deploying service members. Over 2,000,000 phone cards since 1996 – almost 900,000 in the last 100 days alone. Operation Uplink has always been supported and sustained solely by donations – the majority of which come from VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members.
To donate I suggest doing it through you Local VFW Post so they get credit at the National VFW.
[/quote]

Yup, I'm looking for one of those window mount POW/MIA flags for the truck window. The Redwing flag is a little beat up anyway.
