because, i remember when the Commissary on Base had directional arrows on the floor, and your Mom MADE you go the way the arrows pointed...

i remember paying a quarter for a candy bar, then later, needed a dime when they went to 35 cent.

I remember when sending this message took an envelope,stamp and hand writing a address on it, driving it into town and putting it in a big blue metal box and then waiting a week to get my reply back! I think that makes me OLD!? Do they even sell stamps anymore?

I remember when...

I could go to the movie for $0.35 and when I started driving gas was $0.39/gal.

I remember when I was a kid thinking 40 was almost dead.

I remember when at Disneyland you had to purchase a packet of tickets for rides. And of course "E" tickets where the good one.
I remember when gas was around $1 a gallon, not under (I'm not that old) just above.
I remember watching Buck Rodgers, Blues Brothers and Star Wars as first run movies AT the drive-end in the rear of my pops 1968 El Camino............ And of course in the same above mentioned vehicle, waiting in LONG gas lines....
