The Law

thaught I would share this with you guys

This is one of the better e-mails I have received in a long time! I hope this
makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!
So Be It!

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words
"under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be
used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I
are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American public's best
interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His
Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees
should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God
that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter.
After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday,
Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry
about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all
government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It
shouldn't cost any overtime! since those would be just like any other day of the week
to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for
worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be
just another day....

What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop
giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the
'majority' of ALL of the American people.

SO BE IT........

At the top, it says "I hope this makes its way around the USA several times
over!!!!!"

P.S. In God We Trust...& God bless you & yours.

I like the idea, too many tax dollars blown on government BS anyhow. Too many ninnies taking the minority into consideration, giving no thought to the many they are disregarding.

I agree, thats one thing the government cannot take from me!!!! [nonono]

KNOW GOD KNOW PEACE!
NO GOD NO PEACE!

Couldnt have said it better. If you dont believe in God, then why are you celebrating Christmas? I was thinking about this the other night... Christmas is after all Jesus' birthday, and that is why it is celebrated. CHRISTmas also is NOT x-mas. Jesus' name is not X. I am a firm believer in my religion, but if you dont want "under God" in the pledge, then you dont need to be celebrating CHRISTmas, and it should just be another normal day to you. I hope i didnt offend anyone, but this is how i feel. If you dont believe in Christ that is fine with me, and i wont force it on you, but these are just MY opinions.

Yep, it all boils down to a couple of people with thin skin trying to shape the way I think.

IF I offend you, sorry. But I am tired of other people stomping all over MY rights and beliefs. If you don't want to say under god, then don't. HOWEVER I want to say under god and will continue to until I meet my maker, so don't (sensored) all over my beliefs.

cumminsdriver635 Christmas is after all Jesus' birthday, and that is why it is celebrated. CHRISTmas also is NOT x-mas. Jesus' name is not X.

actually you are wrong
the X in Xmas stands for Xristos, the greek word for christ

not being a smartaxe just pointing out a fact so you would know why the X was there

cumminsdriver635 12-08-2005 09:44 PM

Seriously?? I didnt know that. Im not offended at all, just always thought the X was there so lazy people wouldnt have to write out Christ. I guess you learn something new every day.lol

Funny how lately Ive seen a bunch of cars with the bumper sticker that say "The road to hell is paved with liberals" I live in a very liberal area as well. BTW, How bout them holiday trees. Time to boycot Lowes or Home depot or who ever it was that is now selling non Christmas trees. How do we celebrate the holidays when there no longer accepted as holidays. whats to celebrate? I dont get it anymore.

This country was founded, fought for, many died for the rights we have and enjoy today. these rights are for freedom. Freedom to worship god. God was put in the foundation of this country. Those who don't like it or want to omit it from the money and not see the 10 commandments in the court houses, have that "right" too, and can move to the "non christian" country of their choice!!!!! Just do NOT infringe on my rights to live in a Christian country that can FREELY talk about Christian beliefs and see the 10 commandments in the courthouses.
