Does it bother you when she says, "Dad, you're older than dirt."

It happened to me about the time I started to say, "When I was your age....."

Not sharing what the Grandkids tell me........

Our refrigerator started making a growling/bubble sound the other day. The icemachine stripped the gears a while back but not really a big deal with just the wife and I here now. I mentioned it in passing to a good friend of mine. He gave me a almost new one he had in storage. Wouldn't take anything for it. Said it was finally his turn for some payback after all the work I'd done for him on his truck. (Actually my old 98, he bought it).

Good friends are hard to find!

Well folks, DW and I are finally inspired to make a good dinner tonight. I have been out of work for a month now and although I have been getting stuff done, my self-motivation has been super low. It is funny how one thing can get you moving. It is sweet corn season in southern Alberta right now, so we got some fresh corn on the cob today. That has now lead to a planned dinner of beef tenderloin and grill corn on the cob, accompanied with fresh green beans from the garden and cheesy garlic toast. Considering we had wine and popcorn for dinner recently, this is a big improvement

I hope everyone had an awesome Sunday today.

A friend is selling his place, and sold me his 500 gallon propane tank for $300. Another friend that works for the gas company brought over the proper trailer and we moved it in this afternoon. He wouldn't take anything for the move, taught me what seals etc. to replace while it's empty, and how to hook it up so the 20 500's will sequence without attention.
Propane is under a buck. I'm thinking I can take an extended vacation this winter without worrying about the house freezing up. Life is good.
Only problem is that it looks like crap sitting next to the white one the tank place cleaned up and pained for me 15 years ago. Guess I'm going to have to sand it down and rattle can it white.

P pane is $2.80 if you go fetch it, higher delivered around here. Yesterdays road trip to East central, cheapest diesel was $3.43.

Afternoon gang. Nobody put the ph00 on, so it is a brewin' now.

Weather is finally gorgeous here. Rain quit night and it is bright sun, cool, low humidity. Tomorrow is trip to state park for lunch, check out two water falls and shoot some bear and deer pics. Neat spot. Just finished my workout in the gym and ready to head back to the house. Maybe some golf on Wednesday - - we shall see.

OOPPPSSS, ph00 is done. ....................

Typical Monday. Got to work and attended first meeting at 0630. At 0650 threw the plan out the window and just winged it the rest of the day. 0230 getup in the morning and already looks to an entertaining day. Semper Gumby is the new Motto!

LOL, Just filled mine at .899 a gallon, plus sales tax...... For once I am not hollering. Last winter there were times it was over 4 bucks a gallon.

I wish I could find a 30,000 gallon tank around here somewhere they weren't using, it would be nice to have one to fill at these prices, guys paying less than 40 cents a gallon by the rail car.
