Lasik Surgery
I had lasik done about four years ago and the surgery was well worth. I was nearsighted with bad astigmatism and the laser got me to 20/15 right and 20/20 left. The only drawback i've had is i am more sensitive to light now and you might have a few halos around road signs when driving at night. I would say go for it, you want regret it.
Had it done about 10 months ago...best money I ever spent...and would do it again in half a heartbeat!
20/10 left eye, 20/25 right eye, everything is holding fine. Makes it a PITA to shoot trap being right handed, but I'll get past that!

I also had it done about 4 years ago.....The best money spent after wearing glasses and contacts for almost 36 years...It is well worth it....When I was tested after,my vision was better than 20/20.
My wife had it done almost 10 year ago, right after the process came out... She was legally blind in one eye and had an astigmatism in the other. the procedure fix both and she hasn't worn glasses since... Probably the best thing we ever spent money on....

Like many I am fed up w/ the glasses and need to go again. I work outside and way too dusty for contacts. Thinking about Lasik. Any body had it done looking for comments good or bad, would you do it again? worth the money? stay w/ the glasses? How to pick right Dr.?
do some research and find a good Dr. I did. I have no regrets and almost two years later i still see 20/20

Early Lasik Case
I had mine done about 10 yrs ago. My case was a little different. I had 20/20 vision for 40 years and due to close work (watchmaker), I developed near sightedness. Usually the reverse is true when one ages. It got to the point where I could do close work without any magnification whatsoever but could not read the alarm clock. Anyway, I went to the seminar and had the surgery. I could immediately see 20/20 again but discovered my close vision had deteriorated. My doctor told me "nothing is free when you are over 40" as the eyes have a more difficult time focusing up close after 40. I now have to wear reading glasses at 1.25 power to read or see up close. All in all I am satisfied and would fully recommend it to anyone, especially if you have gone through life thus far with less than perfect eyesight. You don't know what you have been missing......
