Korean tires
Anybody have any experience with the Nexen tires? I hear that they are quite good and supposedly made in Korea. Priced a couple today and they are considerable cheaper than the common brand names.
I have not had experience with Nexen, but my experience with Hankook has been OK. We had a set on the front of the work truck for a while. They did not last quite as long as the OEM Michelins, but they were about half the price. These are 12R-22.5 tires so that's a good bit of money...
I have the Hankook Ventus ST on the Magnum. Happy with the performance and wear. They are getting a little noisy, but some of it is my fault, only rotated once so far in 25k miles.

We have sold many sets of NEXEN tires in car applications and it is surprising how well they balance and run; we haven't had a complaint yet and a few repeat buyers, although we haven't had them long enough for most people to actually wear a set out.
Hope this helps answer your question.

Not the answer to your question but as you know--dont buy Chinese. I still havent seen any that didnt die early.
Saw Ling Longs(I almost sure thats what it was) on a semi truck they other day, no less a heavy haul(tri axle) truck, just the thought of it scares me.
I have great luck with Kumho, only downer is they are soft so they wear quick, but hook up great on snow and ice(guessing not really that important to you in Mexico)

My herculese tires have lasted 60K so far. Got one tire that is in bad shape, but thats because I needed a front end alignment and a balance for about 20K miles.
I've got some Kumho Road venture a/t 33x12.5-16 on right now, had them for 4 winters (6-10k miles each) and they still have a bunch of tread on them, and I plow whenever it snows. They are just now starting to cup in the front, I think the weight is getting to them. A lot more then I expected though.
