John Deere
 
My friend got a John Deere and he was wondering if there is anyway of putting a small turbo on it? Just to say he has a turbo chagered tractor. [laugh]<br>SD03

Two cylinder, four cylinder or what?<br>The old two's don't take kindly to turbos.

It's an 03 990 I-4 diesel.

Just to say he has a turbo chagered tractor. <br>SD03 <br><br>Actually there have been lots of tractors/equipment come from the factory with turbos on them.<br><br><br>Which model Case tractors had the 5.9 in them? ??? ???<br><br>I can't remember.<br><br>are they N/A or Turbo??? Can't remember that either. <br><br>Must be getting old. [laugh]

The Case IH Maxxum series Tractors, 5110,5210,5410, 5120, 5220, 5420 had the 5.9 in them. they were aln natuarally aspreated 12 valves.

The Case 580's had them I think.......nice engines and the turbo's had lotsa suds. Ron

Hyundhai (same one that make the &quot;little&quot; cars) had some trackhoes with the 5.9 in them.

I Think the new M series may have a 6 cyl, but don't know for sure.<br><br>The 1150H dozer we have at work has a 6BT rated right around 130 horse. <br><br>And there were numerous ag tractors running the 6BT motor.
