investment forums/opinions

Hello all,
I've recently started trading online and am looking for a forum similar to this, in that huge amounts of bs are not tolerated. Would just like to exchange views with similar minded folks Any advice/direction would be greatly appreciated

I do a bit of trading myself but do my own research, I have learned that the less I hear from others, the better I make out

Everybody has an angle as long as there is a buck to be made off you

In general if you talk to 10 people on a certain stock or method you will get 10 different answers and the same goes for the experts. It is best to maybe listen for a tip and do your own research like Lary said.

In my opinion to many rely on the technical charts and forget the fundamentals. The best advice I received when I started was keep it simple (no shorts, margins, etc.). I have to agree with the simple and diversified portfolio.

Take every bit of investing advice with a grain of salt. You have to sift through alot of bs and apply common sense to have a chance at being sucessful. Do not limit your information outlets to a narrow few.

That is all you are every going to need. My father-in-law (financial planner among other things. Full time at this) uses this exclusively.

Too many posting on investment forums have the motive of touting something they want to build for personal gain or bring down something to short.
