This starts out a little slow,
but wait for it, wait for it..

Drivers explanation.

This is why everyone needs to have an onboard video camera in their vehicles.

He got what he had coming,no excuse for losing it that way

One thought that comes to mind is why did the fool taking the vid not just move to the right and drive .
I think there is enough blame to go around here, there is nothing worse than someone that is driving slower than the flow of traffic in the left lane that is not passing and will not move over I don't care if they are running the speed limit .....my wife comes to mind here

If you look closely, you'll see it's not a highway but a 2 lane, plain old road. Maybe she was going to turn left at some point? And it looks like she was moving right along anyway. And he could have done what he did anyway; pass on the right.

My remarks are mostly in general but when I have someone behind me doing what he was doing I move this is for two reasons 1self preservation . 2 self preservation besides he/ she had time to pick up the camera. Please excuse my misspellings as I am on my phone ,typing and driving and I don't want to chance spilling my coffee.

Her recording proves she knew he was behind her for some time, and she made the decision to not move over even after passing the slower vehicle in the right lane.
It also appears that when he tried to pass her on the right (after she passed the truck in the slow lane), she sped up to prevent it.
That's "Aggressive Driving" in my state, and it's on her video.

Subtract the "finger" as he passed, and SHE was in the wrong.

Something about a ford that makes people drive like idiots. See it every day, Toyotas come in second. Doesn't matter what lane your in. Don't you dare drive in the slow lane or even the exit lane, THAT IS MY PASSING LANE! I see a lot of them getting tickets for stunts like that too in this state.
Word to the wise, before you go wiping around someone like that you better make sure you see what you weren't paying any attention to. Like the cop or slowing traffic. Twice this month I've watched people plow into each other on the freeway only because they were only paying attention to the rear bumper they were tail gating and not the traffic that had suddenly stopped ahead.

I fixed the link that has the drivers explanation.

Did you notice if the side vents were red?

Both were at fault.

He was a moron for just not accepting the fact that a lot of people don't adhere to the "stay in the right lane except for passing" guidelines (law in some states).
And he definitely deserved some bad Karma for not paying attention and sticking around to flip her off.

However,
Most level headed drivers speed up or slow down a little to keep right if someone wants past them.
Her deliberately staying in the left lane all that time despite having no intentions of turning left clearly indicate that she was just as guilty of RR as he was.
It could have easily been her distracted driving that might have caused an accident or could have killed someone.
She used a hand held camera, not a dash/rear cam. Her video should have resulted in a ticket against her just the same as texting or any other self imposed driver distractions.
She was quite clearly not watching the road as much as she should have.
Than she stops in the road just to take video and laugh.
I would write her a citation just for all the junk she has hanging off her mirror obstructing her view.

I love how she doesn't understand negative remarks about her actions and had to "disable comments to the YouTube video, citing "rude, uncalled for, and just downright mean" responses".
Well what did she expect for deliberately and directly contributing to another RR incident.

She was going 60 mph and I would "guess" that is the posted limit for that road. (not freeway) She clearly passed 2 slower vehicles and knew she was going to be turning left in a short distance. I watched it a few time and I really doubt she sped up when the idiot went to pass her. It looks more like he slowed back a bit to giver her the finger after seeing he was being filmed. You never hear her engine speed up when every other noise is very clear. I think he is 100% at fault for his crash and she should at least be cited for the videoing with a cell phone while driving.

The fact remains that he got INSTANT karma and had to pay his "Stupid Tax"

I agree, he is totally responsible for the crash part and probably irritated her in the first place by riding on her rear making her not want to pull over.
Also I don't think she sped up, it was him driving stupid.

Guess what really bugs me is that the video starts with the camera in position and him already on her tail.
That means she had been blocking the lane for quite awhile prior to what we get to see.

Some of us assume she might take a left sometime but the only time she pulls over to the left is to take video and laugh.
That laugh--that hideous Roseanne Barr laugh that irritates me to no end and makes me want to---oops, I think I just figured out what my problem with her was.

(I like your term "Stupid Tax")

WHen I was with my OTR CDL trainer I was driving along one day and he says "Buick alert". I looked at him like "whuuut?". He said "Buick alert. When you notice a Buick in your mirror watch out they will do something stupid. He was right. Said Ford Windstars are the same way. Guess what? For my first couple years on the road every time I noticed the vehicle coming up on me was a Buick or Windstar they did something stupid.

I've been thinking of getting a couple dash cams with the remote-mount rear camera. And a bumper sticker that says "smile".

I'd like to have a rear facing camera too. That way everyone can see how close these jerks come to hitting me when they pass. No call for it at all.

Up here, I find it's usually Hondas. They always seem to be in the wrong lane, getting in the way, never able to keep up with traffic. They also always seem to be the ones that, when turning off a street into a parking lot, they need to come to a complete stop while still halfway in the street, so as to avoid becoming lost in the parking lot, I guess.

I have a Cobra model #810 dash cam. For the money ($90 bucks) it is great.
However, the instructions that come with it suck.
I almost didn't get it because nowhere in the ads does it mention a quarter of what you can set it up to do.
In fact their ad doesn't even indicate that you can decide if it comes on when you start the car or you can adjust the amount of time it stays on after you turn the car off.
