I Keep

I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

Just a thought, how about answering the call then telling them not to call you any more?

Well, then you cannot be assured that you're wasting their time as they've tried to waste yours.

My thoughts were for the constant spam calls I get from Abu Dahabi fellas that want me to "switch".

Once I get a number, I also save it as a "do not answer" call, but would prefer to transport it elsewhere so I'm not having to stop and looksey.

Verizon has a "call block" feature available, but they want me to pay them a fee for using it. I pay them enough fees, thank you..

I rarely, if ever get spam calls. If it's a number I do not recognize then I let it go to vm then audit the call, although that is a rarity also.

I would imagine that folks that rely on their phones mainly for business get hit a lot with spam and nuisance calls.

I have actually told 2 people this and they are not smart enough to stop calling. Although it has been a long time now that I have heard so hopefully they wised up!

The other numbers are actually spam type calls. They seem to be the ones that change every few months. Luckily it is a bit rare now for them to call.

I told a nephew to tell his wife to STOP calling me and asking for money..I am NOT a Bank....sadly it didn't work

I hate when the only time I hear from somebody is when they want something...I get where I see a number I answer "What do you want now?"

PS: No Tim you can not borrow the boat

Just follow the money and you'll understand the problem.

If I don't recognize a number I don't answer. If it's a Missouri area code (think it's 573 down around Cape Girardeau) I delete the message as soon as it comes in too.

What I find is amazing is that we get calls from nieces and nephews asking to "borrow" money.
They forget (until I remind them) that we loaned money to them years ago and never got it back.
They don't realize that because of their incessant postings on social media we already know about them buying their third smart phone for the year-
or their new tattoos or new cars so even though they may not have enough money for rent,,,, they aren't getting a dime out of me.
I would have never dreamed of casually asking to "borrow" money when I was their age. Neither would their parents.
I do not know what happened to personal pride but when we were their age and ran out of money we did without.

Dang it Lary, why did you get me cranked up again.
