I have to shave every day where i work, it's either that or get sent home w/o pay I keep a norelco in the truck and shave on the way to work. it took awhile to get used to the electric razor, but now I don't even think about it. I love the ad parodying the gillette-shick 4 blade razor war with guy holding a razor that looks like a cheese grater with 15 blades on it Looking at it like wth lol

I got the crazy idea to try a sandblaster to shave with, worked awesome expect the fact that I looked like the CRYPT KEEPER from tales of the darkside afterwards..................it was a good look................the chicks dig it!!!! And the amazing thing, it took a lot of years off my face......AND THEN SOME!!!!!

I have seen one mention of how real men shave.

DRY SHAVE, but you also have to go against the grain. Shave up instead of down, and dry shave...Using the mach III at that.

I DO go against the grain (seems to cut closer that way), but I don't dry shave unless I'm out of shaving cream.

I feel no envy for the guys that have to shave every day. I literally shave once a week...on Sunday mornings. By the end of the week I'm looking pretty scruffy, but not that bad. My seven day shadow is probably comparable to a a 2 day shadow for the every day shavers.

On the rare occasion that I shave during the week it usually irritates my skin.

Of course it will. Just look at all the naturalist/environmentalist women...they look like Chewbaca! Definately enough to braid on them.

By the way, I was considering an electric again. Checked prices at WalMart...I can get a decent electric for $25. An 8-pack of blades for my Mach-3 is $17. But then I checked the prices of replacement blades for the electric...$23 for replacement blades for a $25 shaver...whats the deal with that??? Reminds me of the Lexmark printer I bought on sale for $35. It came with ink...but a replacement set of black and color cartridges cost me almost $50.

I have an uncle down in the Low Country of SC that used to tell my brothers and I when we were young that eating peas (pronounced "pe-as") on your rice would grow hair on your chest. Last time he mentioned it I was about 16 and already was sporting a beard - I yanked off my shirt to show him I had more hair on my chest than he had on his head and that was the last time he has mentioned it. Of course, all three of us boys have been sporting beards for about 20 years now - now the problem is that the hair is starting to disappear in other places.................

My Mom always said she didn't think men without hair on their chest were very manly - she always liked the early Burt Reynolds and Charlton Heston movies. I reckon her boys have lived up to her standards, at least in that respect.

I keep telling my wife that when the hair on my head falls out I will just comb it up from the back - to which she says

See I guess I must be weird, because I actually shave my chest. The hair drives me nuts and my shirt always gets soaked when you are working hard and get all sweaty!! Plus I work out a lot and don't want to hide my hard work with a bunch of hair...........

Women seem to dig it also................

I guess somebody needs to tell you young'uns so I will,
Ya'll need to try shaving after you shower. Wash yer face good in the shower with soap to wash off yer face oils so the hair can absorb water and start gettin' soft like elbow macroni in water. After drying off, apply your favorite lather then the razor will cut your beard quick without knocking the edge off. Rinse and dry yer face and yer razor too so it don't rust. Aftershave for your face.
I really like the new 3 blade razors.

I won't go into details...but trust me, don't go "downstairs" with an electric razor. Its brutal. Think major razor burn on a higher level...

Now i must apologize for any mental immages popping into reader's heads. Just open your yellow pages to "Therapy" and pick a number. Me and Timmay2 will split the bill.

I used to have to shave for work. Transfered departments grow all the beard You want. Anyhow when I had to shave I went back to the old fashion shaving soap and a brush to apply. What a difference lot less iratation beard cut easier
and blades lasted longer. Shave whenever I feel like it now 1-2 weeks between and the old fashioned soap and brush still works the best. There are cheap brushes($6.00) and expensive brushes($20plus) but spend the money on the good one.

Jim

Hair clippers work GREAT for a little special trimming for the ladies!!! Not that I have done that of course

I hate electric razors on the face, for some reason they always give me ingrown hairs and those little suckers HURT!!! I even bought a really expensive one thinking maybe that would be better and it still did it............I'll just stick to the good ol' razor, takes more time but I think it works much better!

I've tried the single blade POS's in the BOQ baskets. They cut enough of each hair to hang there like an axe in a tree.

He speaks the truth. The cheap brushes shed bristles in to the lather which your razor then get caught up on. No fun.
