That can't be on the same scale, can it?

I sure wouldn't think so.

I'm not too sure......maybe we should ask the guy in the video.
EDIT: 11,000 lbs MUZZLE energy.
after further searching at another site
Calculated recoil energy is 185 ft lbs
Of all the videos on their site (there were a bunch, and I have seen most of them) I have never seen anyone who DIDN'T drop the gun, including a few who fired it from a bench rest.
Some were much worse than that guy.

you are right about the machinegunner, im a 0311, i get the a-4 with m203 nade launcher, but they let me have my turn behind the 50. a great weapon, but humping with it sucks, that's when i'm glad i have my measly assault rifle, lol. don't even get me started on cleaning those **** things.

Ive got a gun at my moms that i think is 45-70.an old buffalo gun with the roll up sights and such. The last time i shot it i was ten and it just knocked it back, but the first time i shot it i was 8 and it made me do a backward cartwheel. It shoots about a 2 ft flame and wieghs about 35 lbs.
Has anyone ever heard of a 45-70, it could be something different.

heres the same gun different guy-http://www.killsometime.com/Video/video.asp?ID=2

First of all, the Grandma video made me wake up half the house, and it's 1:30 AM.

Second of all, the guy in that video makes the first guy look like John Wayne...

I think the Tremors guys have found Bert a new gun for their next movie.

So have any of you guys poked around those guys' website?

I think that this is the biggest rifle they make; single shot, 18 pounds, .700 caliber.

I'm impressed.

Barrett Rifles offers a military only XM109 25mm (1.023 inches) semiauto, bipod mounted, shoulder fired rifle weighing in a 33 lbs.
