Mornin all,

Pistol, thanks for the offer. IT works both ways. If you need anything call. Maybe we can get later. We are not in a flood plain, but expect a lot of rain.

Latest now shows it will go back to CAT e when it makes landfall, prolly the west end of Galveston Island.
Forcast winds for 77095 up to 72 MPH.
0700 Barometric pressure in the storm 28.22 In. HG. same as last night.

Hang on.

MikeyB, if we don't show to get any bad weather in my area and you can't find a generator, give me a call or PM me, I'll gladly let you borrow mine. 3500/4000 watts and it has a 220v on it also. Let me know bud, sorry its a little late, but now we're starting to see what Ike is probably gonna do.

Bro made it to us last night...or should I say this morning at 3:00 and said the traffic wasn't too terrible, just congested but still maintained 60 mph for the most part. For those that decided to stay, hang on, good luck, and shoot the looters.

Hey Rick,

Thanks for the offer but I did get a 5500w generator this morning. I'm all set now and praying for the best.

Got my first load for Ike. Will be heading to Conroe ,as soon as it is safe, for Base Logistics who is working with AEP (American Electric Power). I hate to profit off such a bad thing, but oh well.

Well the latest stats are interesting at the least. We are 1 mph away from cat3, the pressure is well into the cat 3 range and the storm surge is solidly in cat 4 range. The overall size of this thing is larger than Katrina ever dreamed of being. This will be an interesting night.

If power holds I may post from time to time and play by play. God be with you guys closer to the coast!

News say it just crosssed over to CAT 3. Not much difference between 110 MPH wind, CAT 2 and 111 MPH wind Cat 3.
Radio news 740am reported that Mayor imposed a curfew on Houston untill 10:00 Saturday.
Projections show it is about to make landfall, and be over Houston at about 0700 tomorrow.

Don't know how long we will have power. Going to put the cell on the charger.

The power is flicking and the winds are really kicking up. Hoping the power will stay on at least until bedtime.
