Houston Is Crazy!

Houston drivers are nuts we all know that! That's old news.

I'm down here attending my daughter's PhD graduation staying at a downtown hotel when I notice a car has not moved in 12 hours. That is pretty strange for a hotel so I investigate. It is a rental and the window is down. Being the sharp investigator I am I realize something ain't right cause it had rained the night before and the window was down. This is an "08" Escape. I call the rental car company with the TX tag # and it is stolen. A major crime ring busted by an inquisitive DTR member.

We are enjoying the finer restaurants Houston has to offer and while walking up to a front door (after the valet dude takes our car) I notice 9MM bullet holes in the stainless steel door frame. Hmmmm....someone did not care for the desert! A guy needs a bullet proof vest here just to eat dinner!

New Orleans Katrina evacuees have done a number on this town.

Yeah...I have people in the Houston area. They have said that there has been a huge jump in crime since the Katrina refugees...don't quote me on this...something in the range of 40% increase. NUTS! Sad situation.

That would explain the PSAs on the radio about how the police are not here to be your personal protection.

I can attest to the upsurge in crime since the Katrina evacuees came to town. Now not all of the people that came are riffraff, but an overwhelming amount came to town after that storm. I was falsely arrested just b4 that storm and was incarcerated in the Harris county jail system when they started getting arrested. They were some of the most ruthless people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. They have no respect for people, property or life itself. I was glad that the case I was arrested for finally came to an end (before I went to trial). The DA finally figured out that she did not have any evidence she could use in court against me (again I must input that I was falsely arrested, because I was 10 miles away from the alleged incident when it went down and with witnesses that could place me there at the timeframe that the incident occured). The bad refugees from The Big Easy, constantly started fights within the cell blocks, somehow smuggled drugs into the jail to use while incarcerated and were by all means, useless members of society (in my opinion).

I stopped at a red light in Houston at around 1:00 a.m., there is already a car stopped at the light, I look over and it's a guy without a shirt and he looks over at me,his eyes are half rolled back in his head, drool coming out of his mouth.
He looked like that guy from "FULL METAL JACKET" just before he shot
the drill instructor. Spooky looking, I floored it, ran the red light and got out of there.
You ever notice that almost every guy they arrest on COPS isn't wearing
a shirt?

Go to Brennan's it is by far the best (probably one of the most expensive) resturants in Houston. For an occasion like getting PhD well worth the experience. Ask hotel or call resturant for directions but I know it is near downtown.

$100 per plate isn't bad for a special occation.
I can drop $50 at most places I go when traveling.

Taste Of Texas is a really good place to go too.

I told my wife we could live in Houston when I could afford a copter to avoid the traffic. I was offered a job at Herman hospital, but I said no thanks. First freeway I was ever stopped on,and this was in the 70's

What amazes me is all the people with no shoes. If you're going to run from the police, you ought to at least be wearing some shoes. And when the cops pull somebody out of a car, half the time the person is barefoot or in socks. Where were they going that they don't need shoes?

Yup. It's bad down here after the katrina victims came in. I wanna say that crime has gone up 20% since they came here and that even the cops are worried about the refugees and how bad they are messing stuff up.

Fogo De Chau or however you spell it is a really nice place to eat to. Where's she getting her PHD from?
