Anne Arundel County police said two Pasadena men are dead after their pickup truck slammed into two trees.

Police said 19-year-old Jason Coburn was driving on Mountain Road near Meehling Road about 2:00 a.m. Thursday when he drove off the road on a curve. Coburn and 21-year-old Michael Medura were pronounced dead at the scene.

Coburn's Dodge Ram 3500 truck struck one tree and then another before coming to a stop in a yard.

Fire personnel had to use advanced extrication equipment to free the men from the wreckage.

Police said alcohol and excessive speed are believed to be factors in the crash.

This is all that's left of a full-sized 3500 dually?

Geez, that picture was terrible! The only thing that identified the truck as being a Dodge was the rim.

It's sad when a young life is over that quickly.

Just down the road from my house and Scotts old house. Must have been drinking at the roadhouse or the Victory lounge. That is not a bad curve. They were just drunk and not paying attention, most likely.
I am sorry for the families, but I don't feel for them. They should not have been drinking and driving..at all... period.
There was a vigil there tonite, at the scene.
There was also something going on at the Mountain Road Branch Library, may have been related....News crews were there and everything.

I just noticed the time.. Must have been the Victory.. Roadhouse is not open that late...

Could have been me 35 years ago. We used to spend a lot of time driving like idiots and partying. Never occured to us that we might kill ourselves (other friends got killed but it wasnt going to happen to me) and we never thought about accidentally killing somebody else. What can you say. I got lucky and grew up. Too bad they didnt make it.

Welcome to a situation where I am caught exactly in the middle of rusty and Lary.

My thoughts go out to the families of those involved in the wreck. It is a tough road they'll be going down for a while, nothing like it in the world

I have no feeling at all for the guys in the wreck. Alcohol involved or not, they knew in some fashion, what they were doing.

I have cut people out of wreckage in the past, innocent people, who were hit by drunk drivers, and lost their lives. The drunks walked away almost every time. One or two were killed, but most survived with minor injuries. Yes, they have to live with the consequences of their actions every day, but the actions were still their own.

Therefore, I will say all the best to the families of Jason and his passenger, and I will also say that I am thankful that there were not more people injured or killed.

Rant over.
