Holiday Travel Questions (for our Ohio members)

My wife and I will be traveling through Ohio on my way to PA for XMAS this year. We usually take the loop around Columbus. However, due to the recent sniper events I am looking at alternate routes.
I have not heard much in the news about shootings lately. Anybody live up in that area have any suggestions, are some roads now more clogged than normal as people alter their routes?
Any advice is appreciated

Thanks,
Rob

I believe this issue is somewhat blown out of proportion to the actual danger,Somewhat akin to being struck by lightning WHILE redeeming your winning superlotto ticket But if you are coming up I-71 you can stay on it untill you reach I-70 then go east through the downtown,or if you are on 70 already just continue on through town. Unless you arrive during traditional "rush hour" it is not too bad,In fact we prefer to go "through the middle" most of the time.

If you need anymore info please feel free to ask, Thank you for using on-star MR

Thanks MR (aka OnStar, guess I gotta pay a subscription fee now),
That is what I was expecting, that the media was blowing things out of proportion. Will probably just cruise straight on through on 71.
Now, can you promise me it won't snow ;D
