I have heard that if there are any updates to the Gun you can send it in and have them upfit at no cost besides shipping!!! !! I guess I might buy it for the fun of shooting cheap! I know that once we got my bros sighted in we were deadly with it up to 30'----I mean within 2" Grouping!! I shot it at probably 40 yards and like said above the bullet is tumbling through the air!

at close range its decent.

but considering I can break 4" shotgun clays at 50 yards with my PPK and my boss tears them up at 100 yrds with his 45 LC revolver.

There isn't much I can recommend if you limit yourself to that kind of money, hmmm $250.00? I would buy a used Smith & Wesson .357 for that kind of money.

A revolver but a HECK of a lot more accurate and reliable, plus you can shoot cheap 38 special loads through it. A cheap auto loader is just that, a cheap gun that will eventually fail.

I have a couple .357 S&W and Colt revolvers, all of them shoot well enough that you better not be within 200 yds if you don't want to get hit .. no kidding, I shoot silhouettes at 200 yds with custom loads with one of them.

Not my favorite caliber for that distance, but it will get the job done.

I may just have to look into the PPK series. I looked at a couple this weekend at the Gun Show and they look to be nice guns. The revolver might be an Idea-------just not big on carrying one, but for fun shooting they are fun.-----.357 LC are good Guns--expensive, but good. Well, I guess that I will not get the HighPoint and look into spending a little more for a better gun. Thanks to all for the responses.

The only complaint I have about the ppk is the .380 its chambered in is a bit small but it fits comfortably in a pair of slacks.

Go buy yourself a Makarov 9X18 caliber "9mm mak" ( .380 - 9X17, 9mm = 9x19 )
the ammo is cheap and the Guns Bulgarian, Russian and German models are very accurate and dependable, they can be picked up at most gun shows for $160 for the Bulgarian models, Russian and German models 250-350.

Most dealers should be able to order you one from most importers.

He's already got a Block 40, he is looking for something cheap to plink with.

Besides one ugly peace of plastic in ones collection is usually enough.

I purchased 3 SW99VE's at a gun show a few years back. They were Mexican Police editions that the government couldn't afford so SW went to their distributors to get rid of them in a hurry. I bought the last three they had for $285 a piece. They shot fine, but the trigger pull was ridiculous.
I had a blister on the tip of my index finger from one magazine! I dropped those suckers like a bad habit and will never pick one up again.
i've had no work done to them..... trigger pull is not bad at all i can shoot it all day with no complaints.... i'm not sure what the poundage is on the pull but i'll checkl on it and see....
