Rem. Model 870 pump, you can get them for a good price at the wally world, good all purpose pump for duck and field birds also. I prefer the wingmaster series myself.

Happy, I got a bud that works at a local gunshop who says you can get into all kinds of things for that price range. If ya want to PM a email, i'll give it to him and he can tell ya whats available.
Some of the ones he mentioned:
Mossberg 835 12g 31/2 inch can be between $4-500,
the Remingtons mentioned (870 express) and such for that price range.

i would not suggest a pump, they will beat you up after a good day of shooting. you just need to go to a few gun shops and see what they have and what you like. in the 4 to 500 range there are more than a few options.

How 'bout a one year membership to the jelly of the month club? You know that's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.

Winchester super X2, I have seen some people pick these up in the low 500s. I think I paid 6 somethin for mine a few years back. love it, shoots 2-3/4 - 3-1/2. get the 28" barrel if you are waterfowling. I hunt a lot of geese and use the 3-1/2" loads quite often. good turkey, gun, pheasant (little on hvy side) ,, but it is a good all around gun. I have shot the Rem 870 for years, but SX2 is well worth a few xtra $$

good luck

Dang you pegged me on what I already have, but mine is the sporting version. I bought for $800 (graduating college present to myself), and they are going for $900 now... That is my dove gun, it has walnut finish and I do not want to take it any where near damp/wet huntin...I love it to much....

Thanks for the input guys..

Benelli for $4xx???? Where, when, how, address....
