volkswagon golf/jetta tdi gets about twice the fuel economy of the dodge and is also diesel. 45-50 mpg would not be unusual. So unless you can work in what the truck can haul, you might find something a little smaller in the driveway...(unless you are hauling something give some consideration to the tdi, there is no shame in the car... It is still a diesel. ;D However, if you just "want" the truck...)

Your best bet is to call a few insurance agents and get some quotes.

$1200.00 every six months? OOUUUCCCHHHHHH! For a honda? ..... I pay $650.00 every six months for my 02' CTD, I am a 30yr old male, and that is FULL COVERAGE! Best bet is to shop around, have a kid, get married and put everything you own with that insurance company. ;D
