Thumbs up Have you seen this VW?

Ron Patrick has put together a website to feature his VW. Check out
the bottom of the site where he is thinking out-loud about creating a
dual jet scooter.

I like his comment about it being two engined and therefore is a hybrid in the eyes of the Cal DMV. Like to see him tooling along in the carpool lane on the 91.

I guess you wouldn't need a heater for winter.......just fire up the jet and that thing will be putting off some heat.

I love his quotes:
His response to somebody that he lower it, put some decals on it etc.
Sure kid, put on some flimsy wheels won't take a curb and don't center on the hubs, lower the car so the tires rub and get cut by the body using springs that bounce me all over the road, and advertise for companies that couldn't engineer themselves out of a paper bag.
Caption for a picture with an office from the CHP standing there looking at it:
We get this a lot. A police officer picking at his nose while trying to figure out what to charge me with. Notice the hopeful anticipation of us on the right. We're rooting for him and offer suggestions but unfortunately, the California Department of Motor Vehicles did not anticipate such a vehicle so he's out of luck.

Holee-hell-batman.

He's one smart individual but he's missing one crucial aspect. He has on the stock tires. Bet he never would catch traction in 1/4 mile.

Bet he would be the "Go To" DUDE if ya wanted to have a really HOT SOCAL beachside wienie roast....... As far as traction goes, since it is a harnessed JATO package, the tires would never see traction slippage (or probably not even pavement connection when he "launches").......

Heck we could mount one of these in the bed of our trucks and when a Powerchoke strands, we just hook up the tow cable, drop the tailgate, and roast and remove the offending traffic stopper.
