This has me really fired up

Ok, so I work for a small company that details and reconditions Semi trucks. I have a really nice boss who is super flexible with the couple college students that work for him. He also has two kinda full time guys(explain that). One of the full time guys is really reliable comes to work all the time what not. The other guy is a mexican guy that has like 8 kids. He is nice guy, but the guy will not come to work for a week or two, I have not see him in over two weeks. The part that gets me is my boss and I were talking today and this guy is walking hand out. He get tons of money in tax credits apparently, is getting one of those H4H house that has a 150,000 loan with no interest. gets food stamps, obviously does no have medical insurance, but goes to the doctors office atleat once aweek(did I mention he has 8 kids). The guy has the world handed to him and he can't get off his Edit and make it to work for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 51 weeks a year. What gets me is all my hard work is what supports this guy. I'm in college, pay for everything out of pocket,(no loans, no grants), work all the time what not. I do have nice things and don't do with out much. This just chaps my rear for some reason.

Its going to get worse as they pass more legislation to protect these slackers. It crawls all over me too but I was rasied better than these scum and will continue to bust my butt everyday to take care of my family. Hopefully things will catch up with people like this and they'll get a wake up call....wishful thinking I know.

Welcome to the world man. There's lazy Edit everywhere, and most of them are not mexican (although the longer they're here, the more Americanized (LAZY) they get too)!
Burns my Edit too. Just last night I went over to work on a H4H project. My company (who pays me very well!) really pushes the volunteer work, so I oblige, considering my position and pay.
I got there at 3:30pm, left work early to go form up this retaining wall. The other 4 houses that are occupied, all the people were home. Saw 2 of the 4 husbands (presumably) home already.
So tell me why I should be building someone's house for free when they are sitting there having a beer watching me do it?
I understand that some people struggle more than others to make a living, but I don't get teh concept of rewarding people for their mistakes or laziness.

Not to get it political, but if we stopped ALL the "gubmint cheese" tomorrow, alot of our problems would take care of themselves in short order. Sure, some wouldn't make it due to natural selection, but such is life. The rest would pull themselves up by thier boot straps and start contributing to and improving this country instead of leeching off of it!

I believe this is the way they see it. It's going to cost more money to haul there Edit back across the border than it's going to to keep them here.

Purple,
If your State has a Dept of Human Services, which should be responsible for adminstering the Food Stamp program, and probably the State Medicaid program, they should also have an Office of Inspector General who is responsible for investigating welfare fraud. A phone call to their office should start an inquiry into this persons case file to see if any of this income has been reported. If the income has not been reported your MIA employee may be guilty of welfare fraud. It's worth a phone call--it's your tax money.

what makes you think he's illegal. he seems lmore like a u.s. citizen then an illegal. all the illegals i have seen work he's like a lot of people from this country who know how to work the system and dont care about anything. by the way they dont see it as it cost too much i know a few guys who are illegal trying to get their papers and are terrified that they will get sent back.

He is not illegal, he was born in Texas, I would assume that his income gets taxes taken out of it as he gets a check just like me. I really hate this country sometimes, Another thing that gets me is my boss was telling me when he first started off on his own with his business he was a on foods stamps, which is fine in my eyes, he need the help but now is surviving and making it on his own with out a problem. He said that if you make to much in a week or two week period they will cut your food stamps, they leads me to believe that there are certain people out there that will only work enough to keep the stamps flowing. It should be a progressive system in my eyes, if you make X you T stamps, if you make X+Y you get T-y stamps. Make sense to me.

WORK HARDER, SOMEONE GETTING A GOVERNMENT HANDOUT IS COUNTING ON YOU

thats what the guys doing he's keep himself right at the level to get all the help he can get. i understand where your coming from run my own business and it gets frustrating to see people who dont bust their **** and who have poor work ethics get stuff while guys who try hard and work hard dont get crap. see he 's legal and doesnt wanna work and then people wonder why companies want to hire illegals. its not that their labor is cheaper its the fact that they work and show up for it. seen illigals want 10.00 hr just to operate a manual back hoe( thats a fancy term for pick and shovel)

The Food Stamp program is a Federal program that is administered by each state. The Fed's are the ones that make the eligibility rules. Your right--the more you make the less Food Stamps you get. They are usually automatically adjusted every 6mo. or yearly after a review of the household's circumstances, however they are suppose to report changes in income whenever it occurs so their F.S. can be adjusted. Complaining on here is like singing to the choir--I don't think anyone disagrees with what you are saying. I'll say it again---drop a dime on him!!!!!

EVERY job as a guy/gal that fits that description.

On the Base where I work, we have one guy who's currently a GS-12.
He shows up maybe 2 days a week until they call him in for a "Come to Jesus" meeting then he straightens up for a couple of weeks.
This has been going on for over 18 years.

He has been awarded Civilian of the quarter twice, which gives him a couple days off and a monitary award.

He is currently two weeks in the hole for leave.

I told his boss, that when I retire I want HIS job.
I could adjust my schedule to cut back working two or three days a week and pull in $70,000 a year like he does.

This clown had the brass cajonies to try to "throw me under the bus" in a email to a Major for a project that had been sitting on his desk for a month...untouched.

I spoke with the Major afterwards........... That email didn't pass HIS "sniff" test either.
