Yesterday I took our propane tanks to get them filled. The guy that's filling them for me asks "So what makes it a Super Cummins?" as he looks at my Super Ram stripes. I said "It's just some stripes that I put on the truck but it isn't stock." He points to his Ram 1500 and says "That's mine. It's a HO 4.7 and it's got about 300 hp. It's not too bad." The first thing I'm thinking is if they even made a HO 4.7 or does he have a 5.7 and just doesn't know what he's talking about. Next he says that he only got this truck because his wife didn't like his Cummins 600 truck and made him get rid of it. He says he had the full Banks kit on it and it got like 4 mpg better after installing it. I told him that many fueling boxes throw the computer off and asked him if he hand calculated it. First he said no then he said yes. Then he tells me he's going to go get another Cummins because he doesn't like his new truck.

It sounds to me like the guy had a woody for my truck and in his mind he was wishing he had one...

By the way, I've talked to him before and he never mentioned that he had a diesel before. He did, however, tell me about his current truck back then...

 

He's handling Hazmat, just nod and keep him happy...... besides, you make him mad, you might wind up a couple pounds shy.

Wonder if he is related to the guy I spoke to not long ago who had ,,, (Get this,,,) a "1990 Ford Powerstroke with the Allis-Chalmers transmission,, which has over 400,000 miles on it and still gets around 24 miles to the gallon" ,,,,,,, Do you think I could even come up with response to that? I just nodded and walked away,,,,,,

The thing is that he "Seemed" to know what he was talking about when it came to the diesel. It just sounded strange when he said he got rid of it because of the wife and got this "HO 4.7" but now he's going to get another CTD..

I think the name on his shirt said "Boomhauer"!!!!
