Granite kitchen counter top

Looking for suggestions to clean my black granite counter tops. I hear that using liquids such as windex is actually not such a great idea. Over time, it strips the lust off the top layer. Thats what I hear. I also know they need to be oiled to a degree.

suggestions?

Thanks

I wipe them with a damp cloth, use dish soap if I have to for a grease mess. Also have wipes that are made for granite counter tops. They work good. Find in the kitchen products of a big grocery chain.

Murphy's oil soap and warm water is what I use.

We use soap, water, and a soft rag to polish them. Three years and they look great! They are supposed to be sealed yearly- I've done mine once since the original installation so I need to do them again. Don't use anything harsh on them- it strips the sealant and then will strip moisture out of the granite causing it to become brittle.
