Got saved by a Ranger

Not a Texas Ranger either but the 91 ford 4x4 kind. At 5oclock this morning I decided to make a Uturn on a two lane 50 miles from everywhere. What I thought was a small ditch turned out to be the grand canyon. My driver side rear wheel was a good 3' in the air and my front passenger side resting on the bumper which is a pos and now I need a new one I will never assume a the depth of a narrow ditch again or talk bad about a 4banger ranger again.

I had a Nisson pull me off a high center once. The guy still reminds me of it when ever I see him. That was 20 years ago.

The last guy I pulled out, was a buddy that dropped both front wheels of his kia off in what he thought was a driveway that turned out to be where the gas company had repaired a line. It had been raining for a couple days. I put a 3" strap around his rear axle and stuck my truck in 4 lo. I tightened the strap and proceeded to pull his car our and half a block down the road with all four tires sliding with him trying to stop me. I just smiled at him and told him I wanted to make sure he was out....

I remember a long time ago, I think it was here, someone posted about an Austrailian setting a new road train weight record.
Someone posted a quote that was to the effect of give me a low enough gear, I can move the earth
