The other thing I've noticed about Firefox is that adobe flash tends to crash or lock up often on it...

Some time ago I wanted to try Chrome but when I downloaded it there was a lot of Chinese stuff mixed in with it. I know that the Chinese do not like Google, so figured that they were blocking it in some way. May try it again next month when I go home for some R & R. I also use gmail and often have a problem with it unless I first activate my VPN. Yahoo also plays up at times from this site, but is OK when I use my VPN.

One thing I like...I don't have to re-type my user name in gmail and hotmail ...I just press "d" and my full user name comes up automatic...The less typing I do the better...

Tried to, but once I saw what came up, quickly dumped everything. Will try again next month from Mexico.

I don't download anything when I'm in Asia unless I'm on our corporate VPN.

Being in the sticks, internet is iffy at best. I dumped IE years ago for FF. If I get a "Fire Fox is not responding" message, I know it's the internet connection.
Have you heard about JAVA getting hacked? That has messed up a lot of web sites.
