going home

well DTR another 15 months away from the wife and kids will be over in less than 2 weeks. Thank god. Then it's off to Fort Sill, OK to be a Drill SGT for a few years. I have to say all in all this has been a pretty successful deployment. We didnt get blown up or even in a fire fight. So compared to my last time over here im pleased with that. Shoot who am i kiddin im very pleased with that. The only down side to this deployment is that we had to live with the Iraqi's for most of the deployment. But thats ok because thats pretty much what Transition Teams do. I'm looking forward to getting home and getting things back to normal and giving my wife a well deserved break from the kids. I am really lookin forward to getting back behind the wheel of my truck. It's funny how much you miss your truck when your gone. Anyways ill be looking for ya'll in passing when im blowing that sweet deisel exhaust out the back end of the truck when im going down the road. Take care DTR and i hope everything is going good for ya'll.

What do you mean, "take care DTR"? You come home and can't post anymore?

Thank you for your service Kevin!

Your not far from me. You must be in the 3rd Heard. Keep your head down and don't let the home fever let your mind wonder. I know exactly how you feel. The freedom of driving is most excellent. Learned that in the first Gulf episode. Thank you for stepping up to protect our way of life. An for the last part, not if I smoke you first....LOL

Same here, Thank You for your service.

The first two weeks home you get a reprieve, but after that, your post count should at least triple.
