Fuel Filter Help on an F-150

How do you get the fuel filter off of the lines? We got the little clips off, but someting is holding the filter on. Pulled hard, but it still won't come off.

Thanks,

And no...it's not MY truck.

Thanks,

Went to the AZ and bought a set of four. Of course.....none of them fit. I was the only ones they had (or at least knew of).

Take a popcan and cut a section out. Wrap it around the line and use it to disengage the clips.

Done it about a hundred times way away from home, hasnt let me down yet.

Now that's a good idea. I'm back home now, but if my SIL don't find a tool, I'll pass it on to him.

The elcheapo ones seem to have a really thick coat of paint on them that can hang up the clips and not let them release. Also, press the line a little farther on to the filter when you slide the tool in. This lets a little tension off the clip and eases removal. They can be a real PITA on occasion.

Thanks for the info. The only ones they had was a plastic set of four sizes, and none of them fit right. Probably sold me the wrong thing.
