Fuel Atomizer?

http://www.doubleyourmiles.com/index.html

Incress your fuel milage by 20 to 80% is the claim. In this day and age, not a bad idea. Anyone have any idea about this? Have you tried it? While I realize this is a diesel forum, lots of you guys have gassers as well and might have some knowledge about this.

The 80% is at the top end, most gains are from 20-40% from that website.

The auto manufacturers have been beating their heads against the wall for years trying to meet CAFE and EPA emissions requirements. Who would have known it could be so simple... The really really REALLY sad thing about it all is, there are American citizens gullable enough to fall for such rubbish. Just watch a couple of hours of Spike TV on a Sunday afternoon when the hot rod shows are on. And we say wemings squander money?

The first thing that you can assume about humanity is that it will always act in the most economic way possible. Human behavior is economic behaviour and, while the particulars may vary, there is always the same underlying pattern- people will do what they percieve will gain them the greatest net profit. This may be a psychological, economical, political or social profit, but in this case lets just look at the economical qualities of this device.

This device will install really easily and save thousands of dollars... Now, that seems like a good idea to everybody. Who would not buy something for such a huge profit? If it was possible to save that much money, it would be done by everybody. Yet it isn't... Why? Because it is actually a waste of money that doesn't do anything.

Then again, it's not like people on this forum have the tendency to jump out of our chairs, point our fingers at people, laugh at them and cry "Snake oil! Snake oil!". Like that good old Aeroturbine thread...
