Frigid Breakroom Jan 13 - 19
HOT coffee and ph00 are on. Banana oatmeal on stove, blueberry muffins by the toaster. Come and get it.
Cold in here. Dragon does not want to move and is very hungry - - had to bring food to him and hand feed him. I am freezing down here - - way down to 58 degrees last night, high around 62ish today. Have my long johns on and staying by the heater. Changed my mind about working in the yard. Finish up the polish jobs on the 3 remaining bikes and take them to their new owners next Sunday. Good to have them done and out of here. Off to start my new responsibilities as Director of Deed Restrictions. Not sure I am going to like this job. We will see after a few calls on those not heeding the instructions. Later...………………..[coffee] |
Good morning from a frigid Paradise. We have similar temperatures to what Bob is complaining about. It's also been unusually cloudy for the last few days with not much sun. It's so cold that for a change was outside in long pants, which is very unusual for me.
The coffee and ph00 pots were still full. Where is everybody this week? Dumped both pots and made fresh, hot coffee and ph00. The oatmeal is still OK, so enjoy it. Isn't porridge supposed to be better when it is 9 days old? You younguns will not understand this. Had one of the foglights on my truck break off yesterday. Found it hanging down by the wire. The bracket broke right at the bend. Strange. This is not a factory foglight, but one I installed in the bumper. The bracket I made is from 1/8" X 1.25" wide aluminum and presume that over time the heavy light was vibrating enough to fatigue the bracket. Going to make a new bracket this morning out of steel. Bob, don't come to us whining about your new job! For months you have been telling us your todo list is not getting any shorter, so when are you going to learn to say NO to more work? Would have thought that at your advanced years of experience and larnin that by now you would have figured out how to say no to new work. Grabbing a coffee and starting a busy day. Ciao |

Interesting - - POA President brought me another problem yesterday. Stan, I am busy, but I also feel an obligation to help out in my subdivision. We have over 700 homes in here, and with that many you are going to have someone that thinks they can do whatever they please. Trying to help hold the looks and value of our sub high. Soooo, someone has to pitch in and help. They were pretty desperate for volunteers and what I have knowledge and experience in is where they wanted me. Sooooo, I will shut up and just go do it. …………..[duhhh]………….after I eat my oatmeal. Off and running - - busy day all day. CYA...……………...REFILL...……………..[coffee] |
Ha! 60* perfect temp for working, Bob. Keep it up, and you'll have to declare non retired.
Pease porrage hot, pease porrage cold. Just a lump of dog slobber oatmeal, 9 days old. Gross when you really think about it. I once knew a man from Nantucket. who's Wang was so long..... Well, that's enough limericks for one morning. Temps in the 20's ..cloudy, dank, almost winter like. Better than Oliver land of -20* f. Now that's nipply. Off to another day of fiddling and piddling. Thanks for the old mush, and fresh coffee. Ps: I had to use the bathroom while I was here. Sorry, I set the carbon monoxide detector off. You might want to keep that door closed for a while. Last night was beans and rice Tuesday, and the Febreeze didn't cut it |
Why are there scorch marks on the walls and ceiling of the restroom? |

Why are there scorch marks on the walls and ceiling of the restroom? Sorry about that, but the place was so cold I brought some firewood and lit a fire to stay warm. No fireplace in the breakroom, so just made a fire on the floor. The dragon loved it. Bob, OK, will accept your explanation. Good for you for doing that important job in spite of being so busy. |
Fresh Krispy Kreme donuts on the counter and bio-hazard suits for anyone brave enough to open the door to the rest room. Good Morning!

Nice shot, Lary.
And the photo is pretty, too!;) At least it looks like winter near you. Pick me up, and drop me off in Britain. I wouldn't know the difference, other than the smell of Paris on fire. Never did like that little dog, she carried around:yuck: |
