Yes I agree with all above. This year is not good for the flue. I am curently in Las Cruces NM with my mother in the hospital do to the flue. Its been a rough 4 days. I drove the Cummins in from Arkansas and 17 hours and 1,145 miles latter the truck got me here. Best of health to all DTR familys and please be safe and take care of yourself.

My wife and I are firm believers in let your body do what it was designed for. When we do catch this years designer bug, the symptoms are mild.
I love a good conspiracy, all these flues are created in a lab so someone can profit from the vaccine that doesn't work.

Dude,

I love the way that you think..... as we are thinking the same thing.

About 7 years ago, I met a woman who opened my eyes to what our bodies can do. Now before you think that I met some hooker and had an affair, I can tell you that's not what happened.

She explained to me that being sick was something that we could "mostly" avoid, by concentrating on our immune systems natural ability to fight off "most" attackers. She was a "natural health practitioner" and had me start a regiment of acidophilis, liquid chlorophyl and a few other trace elements. At first, I though to myself that she was nuts and that no "pill" could help me get healthier. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong...

I noticed no "magical change" in my body other than I just never really get sick anymore. Occasionally, I feel kind of crappy, but after a good nights rest, a couple glasses of oj, or a can of chicken soup, I'm back up and like nothing ever happened. I just don't get sick any longer as the bouts of bronchitis, cold sores, fungal infections, hemorrhoids and all the other things that used to plague me on an annual basis are all gone...

Apparently, as J. Martian stated above, the natural flora in your intestinal system is constantly bombarded by attackers such as alcohol, chlorinated water, anti-biotics and other sterilizers of our intestinal tracts. The flora is essential for breaking down what we eat into small enough particles to allow them to be absorbed properly into our systems, vs just being expelled through excretion. It simply allows your natural immune system the fuel it needs to maximize your health.

On another note, I never, ever take any type of pain relief if I'm feeling a little off. I've found that your immune system develops a temperature in order to fight off the bad bacteria you've been exposed to. When you take an aspirin, tylenol or other analgesic when you start to feel crappy, you essentially prevent your body's natural response from continuing to do what it was intended to do, which is "heat up" and burn out the bad bugs you are fighting.

I've had other people, who began a daily regiment of acidophilis in their diets tell me the same story I just told you. Granted it can take a year or more for the results to show, but well worth the effort.

BTW.... ALWAYS refrigerate your acidophilis when you get it home. Keep it in there, as it prevents the bacterium from expiration prematurely.

Not disputing the flu shot stuff because I dont know. But be carefull with this "Dr" Mercola clown.
The guy lives in a 3 million dollar mansion .
His stance on no mamograms has resulted in women dying who might have had an earlier detection (he prefers Thermography, of which he has a vested interest).
I am glad the Feds made him stop selling Chlorella (he says it fights cancer, He lies).
His direct-marketing tactics contradict his statements that he is only in it for the good guys.
Guess what I am saying is I don't really disagree with you guys on the flu shot thing but do be careful about anything that Mercola says.

It's not just drugs. I was appalled to discover what the FDA was doing to and putting in our food and water. Did you know that other countries have banned or made manufacturers declare toxic chemicals or processes done to food? Did you also know that some of these banned chemicals and processes aren't even acknowledged by our FDA?
Some countries consider soy not fit for human consumption, yet our FDA and brain dead health food nuts push it.

Some countries look at wheat the same way some look at soy.
