Flatbed/dump truck needed, what about this one?
 

I decided I might get a truck to haul my excavator on, and also make sides for it to haul brush, rock, whatever. And put a dump hoist on it. Does anyone have any experience with this truck, not sure of the year I just emailed the guy, he says it runs great.

Probably an old gasser - at that price at least. I would really want to know what's under the hood - it may be an old lemon...

gasser, so bad mpg and prolly no power. I wonder how a 12v would do in that thing....

I bet you'll spend that much just getting the brakes road worthy.

I'd try to find an old Kodiak C60 or something :) . I've got one with a 350 and since 1979 it's been a good truck except it's current brake problems. It's off the road now, but wouldn't take much to get it back on the road. 8 yd dump bed.

Fuel economy isn't that big of a deal when it comes times to maintenance on the diesel. Alot depends on how far you're driving it.

Ask the GVWR on that truck . It looks like an L600 and may require a CDL . My son had a Ford gasser dump truck . Very slow and high fuel consumption . If you want a dump you're better off buying one with the hoist already installed .

I think you should forget the idea of putting something together,unless you already have all the stuff.Otherwise you;ll spend alot of time and money on a truck you could have purchased ready to work for you.
