Saw on our local news tonight a story on 2000 ford F150 trucks, extrabitchens and exploders. Said there catching on fire while parked and shut off. Something in the cruise control shorting and starting the fire. Pic I saw burned the garage down it was in. Said there was currenty 37 reported incidents.

Great.

Sister has a 2000 or 2001 Exploder.

Other sister has a 2002 Durango, front wheels haven't fallen off yet though.

I've been lucky, haven't had a vehicle yet that had a major recall.

He means it was tough to push...ya know...it's harder to push a ford w/ a trailer hooked to it.

I think that's why they offer heated tailgates for them up this way.

my favorite is this...i think anyone thats been to a ford site can relate to this..."that cummins is a tough motor id love to have one in my ford...those dodge diesels are tough towing machines" followed by " but i think the ford is a better truck overall....because its ford tough"

folks the evidence is all there i found no need to argue hahahahaha yep every now and then u catch them putting their foot in their mouth down there "i want the dodge axle....i want the hydroformed frame...i want the nv5600 ...i want a cummins" followed by "but the ford is a better truck overall" MUST BE HEATED THE TAILGATE...that IS a high end option

Coming home from work Thursday, what do I see?

A Ford broken down on the offramp, two guys pushing it off.
It was pulling an empty 4wheeler trailer (big one, could hold four of them)
and they were pushing the rear of the trailer instead of the truck.

That is the site I used to hang out on a lot when I had my F150. That site has a huge number of members. I do go there every now and then. For giggles I check out the Ford vs the Competition forum there. It never fails, there is almost always an active thread in there about Powerstroke compared to the Cummins.

I don't think it's got anything to do with cruise control... they're just commiting suicide instead of going the way that most Ferds do; a long, drawn-out, painful death!

Had the digital in the glove box, but it's been a bit chilly lately and the batteries were dead.

Just wanted to get home, not wait for the batteries to charge.
