Finally!!! A good use for wireless technology

Saw this on cnn.com
Beer mat knows when it is refill time

Wonder if I put one in the computer room next to the keyboard if my wife will get me refills

it doesnt sound like it knows the difference between an empty beer and picking it up to take a sip.

you could end up with quite a few beers if the server kept bringing you one every time you took a sip...

or just drink the entire glass every time you picked it up

Of course this idea came from the Germans ... beer is considered a food group here (not kidding). You may spend a half hour eating your dinner but you will spend 3-4 hours drinking the beer and socializing ... each meal.

Lunch is the big meal of the day, ergo not much gets accomplished after that
