Favorite Cartoon?

I was seeing a bunch you getting geeked up about the new Transformers Movie and it got me thinking about the state of cartoons. My all-time favorite is a toss-up between the WB Loony Toons (old school 40's through early 70's Bugs Bunny and Friends) and old school Tom & Jerry. When they gave voices to Tom & Jerry, it went down hill from there. The visual humor in those shows is so much better than the junk they have to day. The verbal humor in the Loony Toons was great also. They made you think in my opinion. I will admit that I did get hooked on the Transfomers when they went digital. They had some saga for a couple of years that was pretty good. The cartoon version was take-it-or-leave-it. I have lots of others I enjoyed also but I'll wait to see if there are any responses.

Growing up it was Bugs Bunny and his cronies, Pink Panther and Tom and Jerry (old version). Today I like watching Futurama reruns.

All the looney tunes guys, especially bugs and daffy. I loved it when they were on the same cartoon together. Cartoon network (which now is 99% anime) still plays the old school tom and jerry around noon.

Thundercats was a little after my time, like He-man. Never really could get into them. Pink Panther was very cool too. For some reason I gravitated towards the "non-speaking" cartoons. Although I like Bugs because he was always slaughtering the english language. I also had to watch Mighty Mouse ("Here I come to save the day!!"), Underdog ("There's no need to fear, Underdog is hear!!) and Heckle & Jeckle too. My wife laughs at me because I remembered the words to the Spiderman intro.

Bugs, Tom & Jerry sans talking, Speedy Gonzales, Yogi Bear, Super Chicken was cool, Underdog was a treat, and I like the cartoon with Snagglepuss and Huckleberry Hound and those guys - I forget what it was called. Scooby Doo was okay, but not my favorite. Don't care for today's cartoons much, but Sponge Bob Square Pants is cool, along with all the adult animated shows with the Simpson being my favorite. My 3 yr likes to watch the old Tom & Jerry toons with me, so that's cool.

Oh yeah, I loved Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jekle also. I wish they still played these cartoons today. I can't stand the anime junk they call cartoons...

What about Comic books. Sgt. Rock, The Haunted Tank, etc.
