Farm code welding symbols.....

Found this on another site I frequent. Good site, like here. Don't know why it was called farm code, but just ran with what it started as.

http://www.americanweldingsociety.or...w.pl?tid=18850

"spot" weld, "flush" weld...just to funny!!

I tried to post the pics but could'nt put them in my folder cause they were bmp or something. Click the link, top of the page.

Admin note: I saved them as bitmap, opened them in paint, then saved them as a JPEG, then added them to your post as attachments.

actually, if more people would use those, it would make life a lot easier.

I have seen some pretty nasty field drawings, but they made way more sense than most engineered blueprints I have looked at.

Nothing like seeing cert. numbers on a drawing, out in the bush 200 miles from nowhere, and going... hmmm, forgot my bible, and I cannot remember all those numbers.. darn.

This said, I do not do a great deal of structural welding, I am more of a field fix type. And will do major projects with much hesitation.

if your field welding, just grab a 7018 rod and burn it...

(yea, I know its not that easy)

I have been told my flush weld looks like it belongs in the toilet. Glad to see I was on the right track.

I laugh each time I look at these things. Took a copy to school(welding) to give to the teach. He had a good laugh.

Thanks Shovelhead!
