The end is getting close for me...

Mornin, DTR....

I can see the clearing at the end of the path, to reference a Steven King series....

Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary to a wonderful woman who has taken perfect care of me, and put up with my garbage for so long.

However, this marks a milestone with the Corps, she now owns half of my retirement if she ever gets smart and leaves me... (lol just kidding, we love each other)

That's not the worst thing... this may have taken a few years off my life today, but I've got 27 days until I just drop dead... 30 is lurking around the corner. I'm going to get out of bed, and my legs are going to fall off, and I'm going to turn to dust, just like that dude on the last Indiana Jones movie....

I'm making out my will now, later we're going to Cosco to get my coffin.

Who wants my truck? Tools? Kegerator?

I love my life I've got a good one, no doubt.

30 was my favorite birthday party, the wife threw a big surprise party and right in the beginning of it I got a call from the alarm room and ordered into work for a 6 alarm fire. I missed the whole dam party.

Don't sweat it Mark, your legs will not fall off. You will however have an epiphany and finally realize that your wife is always right.

Oh yeah, Happy Anniversary buddy! My first ten were the easiest, the next ten, well that's for another thread.

I disagree Eric, I think Blake will get beat by a much older man.

Besides you and I have a vested interest in Mad's truck. Wanna go for a ride?

Mark,

Congrats on all your significant milestones. I wish you continued prosperity, wellbeing and happiness.

It is a joy to watch "young folks" (from my perspective) out there that still do it the right way. There are so many of the young "give it to me now, I am entitled and you owe me" types that make me

That said... I'll take the kegerator...

You will be here on this planet for many yrs. Top and I will build you a diesel wheelchair and a diesel powered IV pump to keep you going.

Your LEGGS will always be attached to your carcass. They just start doing strange things...kinda fun actually.

Bobby and Stan have some kind of contract with Depends so you can order up some camoPends or some DTRPends...might as well order up some cornPends to match the interior of that car too.

Yep you got it good. Lots of us do. I thank the big guy everyday for what I have with my family and friends. When I look back I see where I went sideways and I also see where a Power greater then me steered me back on a good path.

One post you made said your folks are in their 40's? Wow. I am in my late 40's and my daughter is 5.

Enjoy every moment Mark.

Your tiny little buddy, Scotty

Send the children here Mark and we will take care of them while you and Angie take a Private vacation on a warm beach some where I can help continue their Manly Education by teaching them the fine art of Spitting and Throwing rocks...or other such important things for the young man

Dude! I've been married as long as you've been breathing. 30 was 25 years ago. Trust me, you ain't gonna self destruct,,,,yet. Like wine and cheese, life only gets better with time. You know what they say, time flies when your having fun. And how true it is. The older we get, the shorter the years, months, weeks, and days seem to us. So we must be having fun. You will too.

I don't know if you rode the slow bus or something, but I learned that years ago... If the next ten years are any harder, it's not gonna be good. It's been getting easier the last year...

Thanks, buddy. It's going downhill fast now... I'm clawing the frozen ground as hard as I can.
I forgot about the helmet...
