Question Edison Bill

I was just wondering how much your electric bill is for your average size home in your neck of the woods. I know it will vary depending on if you heat with gas or electric and on what end of the country you live. Here in southern california where the temprature is probably about 70*most of the year, my bill is usually around $250.00 a month. I do not have central air and heat with gas. But I do have a big 30,000 gallon cement hole in my back yard. Lots of security equipment and 5 computers running 24 / 7. My neighbors have about the same size house and they all average about $30.00 - $50.00 month.
I have had my meter calibrated and I have replaced all of my lights with compact florescent tubes that did make a big diffrence. Also they do not have any outside security lighting. They say, hey it sure is nice YOUR lights make it nice and bright at night.
All of the neighbors are dumb as rocks and don't have anything their garages either. (sicko)
Jim.

Gas stove with oil heat, electric water heater, and dryer. Nothing out of the ordinary other than that.
Bill runs about $70 to $120 per month depending on how much heat or AC we are using.

I've got nat. gas, and I've had bills from $85.00 (nice weather) to $245.00 in the winter. And yes I run a heater in Florida. It gets cooooold.

electric bills in the summer generaly run around $100-$125. in the winter the electric bill is only around $45.00. our house is only about 1500 sq feet though. we heat with natural gas in the winter and it runs as high as $200.00. i guess gas is high on everything
