Easy way to pull off badges

For all of those people out there that want to remove your door badges and such, here's the easiest way I've found to do it. Take a plastic kitchen spatula (metal will scratch the paint) and some mineral spirits (must be mineral spirits, very mild remover). Drop some of the spirits behind the badge and wait maybe30 seconds. Take the spatula and pry behind the badge SLOWLY. The badge and the adhesive should come off. If there is still some adhesive left, get some Goo Gone or other similar stuff and apply it. Then peel it off. That's how I re-did the badges on my truck and it worked great. Just thought I'd share this info with you.

There is adhesive remover that is specifically for automotive paint....WD-40 does a decent job and Ive heard that "Skin so Soft" also works.....goo gone may be harmful to paint.....

Not too much is going to be harmful to your paint if it is a fully cured clear coat.
(Although I'd still shy away from brake fluid) Any adhesive remover will work well, 3m, kent, and I'm sure theres other products out there. If you are really concerned about chemicals, just roll off any of the two faced tape remaining on your vehicle by using your thumb or fingers, just be aware that to a non-calloused hand, you can only get about 1-2 inches per digit before your finger will blister.

PS.. I've demo'd tossing a soaked rag with lacquer thinner and leaving it on paint for over an hour with no effect on the clear. Of course, it wasn't my vehicle

Snuff spit cups will do wonders on paint when left in the sun for to long.

Don't know if it will work without the sun. I've only seen it done on a parked car in the sun. Some guy ticked off a bunch of FFA kids a couple years ago and right before school started, they dumped their cups on his hood and it sat outside in the full sun for 8 hours.

When I get pulled over, I always say, "Look! That Guy's drunk!" Then, I reach up and rip it right off........... you should see the expressions I get.
