Evening guys. The storm is here and so far living up to expectations. The street outside is white from the freezing rain. It's been nothing but ice pellets for the last hour or so. There's snow moving into the area to the east of B'ham, about an inch now on top of the ice. Did I mention it's cold too!

The traffic reports have been grim so far. Most counties south of me started closing their roads prior to 1800. There are wrecks everywhere. I-59 near Tuscaloosa had over 20 wrecks in a 20 miles stretch, one of which involved about 9 cars. I-65 around B'ham is turning into a really big bumper car ride. My sister crashed her car today in Ohio. She met a car on her side of the road in an S curve, moved right to avoid a head-on and the snow sucked her off the road. She impacted the bank with the front end, then with the back end, then with the front, then with the back........ It wasn't pretty She home now, stiff and sore, CT was clear so we're all grateful!

Wow, that far on 10m? Not bad. I found I always did better in the north in the winter than the summer. Used to get South America often from Minnesota.

Been way too busy today - - hitting the sack early tonight - - more doctors tomorrow and Thursday - - this is getting old. Wish they could nail down exactly what is happening. Sure hurts.

OK, gone for the night - - have a gudurn,

Bob

Evening Rick and Bobby

Rick sorry to hear about your sister. Hope nothing comes up in the aftermath.

Mark, depending on if and when we go out there, I may have to deviate the route,(coming or going) and take the scenic route via I-10.

1/4" plus of ice, about 1/2" of snow. The real treat is listening to it fall.

Careful you don't go blind there Bark......

Should have a nice peaceful Sunday evening here tonight...... We'll see. I'm hoping to get my 4-wheeler back tomorrow.... Last outing with it ended badly..... apparently the PCM gave up the ghost and took out a bunch of wiring..... That puts a hurt on the wallet. Then the replacement was on backorder for a month.....

T-Rad- Hope your sister is gonna be OK.

mmmmmooooose chili would be awesome!

Hey Mark, I blew both of those tendons. One was urgent surgery. They initially described it as accute tennis elbow. After the MRI they changed that to a ruptured tendon...I think it had something to do with the flexor muscles and the anchronius [sp?] muscle. Had it re-attached. The one in my left arm has started acting up again with all the shoveling I have been doing. Some days I feel fine...days like today...I feel like I am 48. Yep I be 48. My wife commented that I am holding my arm in a bent position. Thats where I feel the least amount of pain. [sigh]

Glad she is ok. Its frightening when you get in a situation where all you can do is keep your foot on the brake and close your eyes.

53 sounds like driving in the slow lane.

Just had the best fried chicken (again). 3 months old, Semi free range plus top quality organic feed. From the pen to the pan in under two hours. All I had to do was off the ones their kids had named. Freddy was mighty tasty.
