Good morning Matt and ??????????? Where is everybody? Been up for a while, stuck my head in here and did not see anybody so left. Now back again to experience the coffee and still nobody. Will pass on the "coffee" and try some ph00. Does the PH of 00 signify anything? Shouldn't this 'drink' be a tad acidic?

Looks like our winter down here is over. Wish I could say the same for some of you poor suffering sods up north and further north.

Going to be a busy morning and then off to church and lunch with friends. See y'all l8tr.

Morning. Cold here this morning... the snot in my nostrils stuck together when I took Jake out.

Today is Sunday, January 9th.

On this day in 1848 - The first commercial bank was established in San Francisco, CA.

1861 - The state of Mississippi seceded from the United States.

1894 - The New England Telephone and Telegraph Company put the first battery-operated switchboard into operation in Lexington, MA.

1902 - New York State introduced a bill to outlaw flirting in public.

1905 - In Russia, the civil disturbances known as the Revolution of 1905 forced Czar Nicholas II to grant some civil rights.

1929 - The Seeing Eye was incorporated in Nashville, TN. The company's purpose was to train dogs to guide the blind.

1936 - The United States Army adopted the semi-automatic rifle.

1969 - The supersonic aeroplane Concorde made its first trial flight, at Bristol.

1972 - The ocean liner Queen Elizabeth was destroyed by fire in Hong Kong harbor.

1984 - Clara Peller was first seen by TV viewers in the "Where's the Beef?" commercial campaign for Wendy's.

1986 - Kodak got out of the instant camera business after 10 years due to a loss in a court battle that claimed that Kodak copied Polaroid patents.

2002 - The U.S. Justice Department announced that it was pursuing a criminal investigation of Enron Corp. The company had filed for bankruptcy on December 2, 2001.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.

Yep. Bout to go wax it, now...

I tore the tendon that connects to my forearm muscle back in 09, and it's flaring up really bad with either tendinitis or I have re-torn it. I'm going to get another MRI here in the next few weeks.

That is a terribly depressing thought for some of us.

I was flabbergasted.
Speaking of which: I get to go help a friend choke his chickens today. Tonight, some of the best fresh fried chicken you can have.
