All this talk of welding, you haven't seen welding till you start running SAW...

1/8" wire at 500 amps. you gotta have a 5/8" root or youll burn thru.

Evening everyone. Took a trip to bass pro today to buy a scope for my 700. I got $100 in gift cards to Bass Pro for Christmas this year. I wanted to replace the old cheap fixed power Bushnell I had on the gun, I ended up buying a Nikkon Prostaff 3-9x40. I'd love to have a nice Leupold but the Nikkon was in my budget. It'll do what I need it to do.

Had the truck parked in the garage today to melt and thaw out a little. Ended up having to wash down the floor because of all the crud left behind. My county love to use a sand/salt mix on the roads.

Heidi, that dinner you made sounds good! Made me hungry reading about it!

Think I might go grab a brew out of the cooler.

our new engineer worked a pipe lay barge in the caspian, they had 9 stations running 1/8". they would lay one pass, ring a bell, move the ship forward 6 meters, repeat. they were laying 36" cement coated pipe. 9 passes to weld it.

Most of our equipment that is welded is less than 20" diameter a single head is sufficient for us. but that thing will lay some filler metal.

Me? ME?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Me and wood do NOT get along! I'm used to steel... if I cut something a tad too short, I just weld it up and grind it down to the right dimension again. With wood you just have to throw it away and start all over again. And with my skill and patience, I'd be going thru CORDS of wood just to make a birdhouse!

LoL--I remember those days well. Than I made the mistake of becoming one of "them" for awhile. Happiest days were as a COII. Its now been over seven years since I bailed from that system. Nobody remembers me and that’s just fine by me.

Talking with pilots in CA. What you say is so true. You can get into major trouble flying in areas that were OK eight years ago.

My sentiments exactly. When I was redoing Aidens room I cut a 2x4 three times and it was still to dern short! Wood is for termites...
