Smart woman you married Blake! When you build, you ARE going to use steel, right?

You then sweep up the needles and leave it as a coat hanger.

He can sort of weld... he still uses the old archaic stick method, but it's still technically recognized as welding.

For my shop and my second kitchen. For the house its gonna be brick. With solid exterior and interior walls, 2x6 studs... I want it solid.

I wanted a metal house, basically just live in my shop.... 100x200 sounded like a nice round number but the wife shot that down.

Morning Mom

Dinner sounded great.

Work is looking up too, typical oilfield. Always comes back with the new year. Just got another call from a buddy that may need some inspectors in a week or two.

And I share your wishes for Matt...

If you really want it 'solid', then the whole thing ought to be steel. Structural steel too, not that wimpy formed sheet junk. 6" Channel should do nicely for studding. Steel diamond plate for the exterior walls, shiny aluminum diamond plate for interior walls. 'H' beams for joists and rafters, smooth 10 gauge steel for roofing. Your choice for floors, smooth or diamond plate, but no aluminum. That will gouge and scar.

I think his son has a real one! And NO, I'm not sharing the snowmen! <because they're gone already!>

Aren't you getting a little hen-pecked when you have to consult the wife to go for #2? I mean, c'mon, just walk out the door, go to the station and fill the tank! You shouldn't need to check with her just to fill your fuel tank!
