Good Mornin Yall

Had a great evening last night. Got to raise my little brother to the Degree of Master Mason at our Lodge. I was also elected as Master of the Lodge for the 2010 year. At 28 yrs old that makes me one of the younger masters in Louisiana.

Got to go see a head shrinker this morning, surgery related, guess they want to see if im insane, or would it be sane....

Cant be anyworse than have a good long conversation with chaikwa....

Brother Pind, good to see you, hope you are doing well in the frosty north.

Or a short one.

Morning all. Isolated patches of ice on the interstate this morning. Folks around here drive like they've got bumper cars.

COOL! We WILL have pics when you get it running, right?

Hey! That happened to the Ford I had too. Mine was a 87 if I remember right. Tons of stupid little problems with that thing; shifter broke off, gauges didn't work reliably, (the decals that made up the face of the gauges were put on off-center and made the pointer needles rub against them. Trimmed them with an Exacto knife and then they worked fine!), directional lever fell off... on and on it went!

Where ARE you? Can't be Alabama!

Morning all.

Today is Tuesday, December 1st.

On this day in 1835 - Hans Christian Andersen published his first book of fairy tales.

1909 - The Pennsylvania Trust Company, of Carlisle, PA, became the first bank in the in the U.S. to offer a Christmas Club account.

1913 - Ford Motor Co. began using a new movable assembly line that ushered in the era of mass production.

1913 - The first drive-in automobile service station opened, in Pittsburgh, PA.

1925 - The Locarno Pact finalized the treaties between World War I protagonists.

1934 - Sergei M. Kirov, a collaborator of Joseph Stalin, was assassinated at the Leningrad party headquarters.

1941 - In the U.S., the Civil Air Patrol was created. In April 1943 the Civil Air Patrol was placed under the jurisdiction of the Army Air Forces.

1942 - In the U.S., nationwide gasoline rationing went into effect.

1943 - In Teheran, leaders of the United States, the USSR and the United Kingdom met to reaffirm the goal set on October 30, 1943. The previous meeting called for an early establishment of an international organization to maintain peace and security.

1952 - In Denmark, it was announced that the first successful sex-change operation had been performed. See Blake? They've been doing the same operation you're getting for a long, long time. No need to worry!

1955 - Rosa Parks, a black seamstress in Montgomery, AL, refused to give up her seat to a white man. Mrs. Parks was arrested marking a milestone in the civil rights movement in the U.S.

1959 - 12 countries, including the U.S. and USSR, signed a treaty that set aside Antarctica as a scientific preserve, which would be free from military activity.

1965 - An airlift of refugees from Cuba to the United States began.

1969 - The U.S. government held its first draft lottery since World War II.

1990 - British and French workers digging the Channel Tunnel finally met under the English Channel.

Getting ready to take a trip to Joisey today. The trip out there looks to be clear, but coming back Saturday might be interesting with the snowstorm they're predicting.

First and foremost, prayers for Chris and family.

Secondly, we got our first real dump of snow.
Started with above freezing temps, freezing rain, then snow...lots of snow. Enough snow to launch a few very tightly packed spheres down BobbyStinkySpeedo way.
Next is high winds and temps dropping fast. Winter has arrived.
Very strange how this happens every year.

Brother Pind, good to see you, hope you are doing well in the frosty north.
Congrats on being A M/M and to your brother too. I took several degrees years back, looking to get back in now.

Your Saints did a superb job of beating down my Patriots. They played an excellent game.

Yes you are insane, I can write a note to your doctor if you like.

Spent the majority of my evening pulling a T-T unit out of the woods and back on to the interstate. Thought we would have set a record, we had it out of the woods and back up the embankment in tack in a little over an hour. Then winching it onto the roadway the trailer broke in half, then the party started. The driver stated he was choking on a fire ball candy and passed out. I thought, "well that's a new one". Then when I climbed in the cab guess what I found. A half eaten fireball stuck on the corner of the dash. I think he was telling the truth, and even more so I believe the crash saved his life. Thing work out in strange ways.

Off to finish cleaning up the mess, Y'all have a good day.

You know they always break when they go over a bank with a fireball in control.
