1942 - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the dismantling of the Works Progress Administration. The program had been created in order to provide jobs during the Great Depression.
1942 - U.S. bombers attacked the Italian mainland for the first time during World War II.

snow moving horizontal here, but not sticking. boiler all repaired and reset. hubby and bro did excellent job. I made good food and gave him a freezer bag of even better venison sausage.
still buried in paperwork but choked out the most important, now on to the ones marked 'urgent'......
got jeep parts in to upgrade to 46 ****** for the son, we won't work on it unless he does. and he has been sleeping a lot lately or non social. see how that works for ya, son.
have to go out and do some little gift shopping, and the MOM shopping (underwear and socks) so put your requests in, boyz. would hate to get confused and send pink speedos to ChrisR or XXL boxers to Fronty.
better just to no think about it
got some rum (I must look like a rum lover) sent to me from Brazil. sea faring captain type friend. sweeter than brown sugar, ack. too sweet for anything alcohol. better find a cookie recipe or something..... I am sending him a hula girl dashboard friend....she sways, blinks eyes and says helllloooooo sai lor.... sweet for sweet.

Evening DTR
Went and picked up the SIL to stay the weekend and it was raining and spittin sleet. Low and behold on the way home, the temp dropped near 32 and it started snowing. None stays cause its way to wet, but its there.
Safe back at home cooking a gumbo. Cant have the rice and meat, but the juice sure taste good...
