Depends. If it keeps snowing all night and is STILL snowing in the AM, I'll have to plow to get the tree people in and out. In a prolonged snowstorm I'll plow a few times to keep things open. Easier than trying to break thru 4 foot drifts.

It's ok I guess. I don't get any particular thrill out of driving around in this stuff. Seen too much ugly stuff as a result of it I guess. MY idea of a good time when it's snowing is to have a little cabin somewhere in the woods, put my feet up on the woodstove and settle back with a bottle of Jim Beam and my pipe. Now THAT'S fun!

Ummm.... you're missing out then... just opened a new bottle of Beam last night... then lost power and had to get the woodburner in the living room going. Stayed up for firewatch reading my new canoe building/restoration book. Wasn't really tired anyway. Started plowing at 9 and could've used somebody to keep the fire going til the power came back on at 2p. Fortunately, there's no groundfrost yet and it wasn't too cold, or I'd've been in trouble. And as for labs not liking snow? I didn't exactly FORCE Kailey into the snow in those pictures. I had to force her to quit rolling and bouncing in it long enuff for a pose.

Just got word the new (bigger) heat exchanger for the boiler system is waiting for me at the Bristol Store. Shooting for a generator after another holiday check kicks in.

My brother has a Lab and she luvs it, can't handle it like or husky mixes, she needs booties to stay out very long at temps -20 or colder. but she so hyper you have to get inside now and then because like most labs they are to thick headed to know they are gettig to cold or in pain.

Kailey is a flat-coat. If the house is above 65 deg., she over heats. Jumped in the shower to get ready for work when I got off the tractor, thought my hands were gonna melt when they hit the water. Temp wasn't even up to where I like it yet.

Claude, don't have too much fun and burn that new tranny up.

Talked to my brother tonight. He's been living in Bloomington IN since August, moved down there to finish out school at Indiana University and to live there permanently after he's done with school. Him and a friend were sharing a two-bedroom apartment, pretty nice place. Well I guess his friend had a few too many run ins with the law over the last year. He had 3 dui's in about a year and is now on house arrest and had to move back home. Well with this guy gone, it leaves my brother without a few things in the apartment. I'm gonna bring down some older furniture mom and dad have stored away for him to use and help him set it all up. Said he wanted to do some painting in the place too. So I get to take a couple day trip to go help him next week. Guess I'll be gone tuesday and wednesday.

Him and I have always been good towards each other. I've helped my brother out a few times and he always helps me out when I need it.

Weather here is WINDY! only about 2 inches of snow but we're getting 50 mph wind gusts tonight. Gonna make it into the single digits tonight and have a high of 12 tomorrow.

It all sounds good, perfect actually, except for the "Have a plow for my wheeler so you can keep drive open" part. That below zero garbage would take all the fun out of it for me!

THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! You get a cab for the tractor yet?

WOW! I think that was a shot Don!

STILL snowing here. At least it's still above zero! And the wind has died down quite a bit too. Maybe the storm is passing us by? I can hope.
