Charlie Foxtrot.
Who woulda thunk ruptured phonetic would wreck my eyes.

Marines get the medals. Sailors get the girls.

Got about half the tirdy point buck. First time I've gotten buck fever in years. Hit it well, shot once at the whole thing.

He was preoccupied with another big buck that I never saw, but heard arguing with him. Good thing I was in a wooden stand. A metal one would have rattled.

All 3 of my sisters married sailors, all 3 are divorced from their sailors too.
My dad was a Sargent in the Army. Served in Korea. He trained to be a cook, but wound up in a tank. You go where they send you.
I never served,,,,, directly. The rest is subject to security regulations.
Laptop up and running again with win 7. Looks like we will be staying below freezing now until spring. More snow through Monday.

This sailor got his foot caught in the door 45 years ago. Been there since through no fault of my own.

Nice Deer! I have a loin from last year thawing. I'm thinking that if I eat more venison, I'll smell more like bamby when I take my Grandson out.

Big shout out to Deere Country! One more time he has filled my need. I just got an OEM Ram Hood Ornament for my 89 from him. Thanks to you Sir!

There's a blood line of big atypical bucks around here. Most of them are a lot smarter than this one was. He was nearly upwind of me for about 15 minutes and should have sensed my scent cone. He was preoccupied with picking a fight about 100 yards further into the woods. Finally gave me about a 60 yard brushy shot, which I took. I love the range, accuracy, and effectiveness of Hornady SST sabot slugs. I like my 30-06 SMLE better, but it's shotgun only here.

Oh wait. I ate venison sausage for breakfast. Maybe that's it, he was in my scent cone, and hunting me.......... Ya right you betcha.
