Nuther long hard day. Work on the lanai is done - - added another 150sf to it and it really opened it up. Now the fun stuff like pavers, cabinets, gas grille/hood, sink - - should be fun and neat. Al Gore and his henchmen missunderstand basic weather.

What causes turbulence (tornadoes, etc) is temperature difference. When the Earth heats up, the equator stays about the same, and the poles warm. Weather is more violent because of the increased temperature difference. A warm Earth is a calm Earth.

I think it is getting stormier, and it's been cooling off a little for the last 10 years or so.

Good morning DTronians.

Bark were having one of the hottest summers.

Having a "wedding party" introductory get together today for my oldest daughters wedding. Her idea and my wife gladly volunteered our house. About 40 people coming over most of whom I have never met. Had to take yesterday off just to do all the yard work, set up canopies, chairs, etc like a loving father should do. Oh yeah, shes not getting married until September 2013. It should be a good time, got plenty of fuel for the evening bon fire, that way I wont have to break anything down.

Rise and shine folks, have a great day.

Morning all from lovely, accommodating and hospitable Hebron Kentucky! One of the best places I've taught since I started teaching. They're taking us to the Boone County Fair for the tractor pulls tonight. Put us up in a 5 star hotel and feed us 3 times a day. What more could we ask for?

1954 - The uranium rush began in Saskatchewan, Canada.

1958 - The first potato flake plant was completed in Grand Forks, ND.

Dip your rusty parts in it for cleaning. Just remember to remove them while there's still threads on them. (use your stop watch)

That's a bummer!!!! After all, it is only 20 years old - - why now???..........Smile baby and be thankful. Good trucks.

Funeral this afternoon - - - daughter's MIL. Cancer took her down quick. She was a pistol - - - strong lady. The whole neighborhood knew it when she was either mad or glad. Grandkids took it a bit hard. Always tough - - we were informed to "forget about it." Just stick around another 50 or so.
