Nope the satelite stops giving a signal as soon as you hit the border.

Sheesh Huck it was a valid question. Heck Canada could block it for all we know down here.

yeah yeah yeah, Blame Canada... they aren't even a real country anyway.

Or something like that.

Sirius works all the way to Tuktoyaktuk on the arctic ocean, if that matters any. I run it in my truck, you simply need the best antenna they have. This far south, in Whitehorse, the small "mouse" antenna is fine, but for better reception overall, the "mushroom" style antenna is the clear winner.

There you have it... what you do with it is between you and the gatepost.

I just drove the Al-Can last summer and it worked all the way to Tok, AK. After that it was hit and miss, 50 miles down the road toward Anchorage, nothing. Good luck.

It works good for me all the way to Haines Junction, SKagway, Whitehorse.
That's the furthest north I go. But my antenna is on the roof, I first tried it on the inside of rear window, then dash, the signal kept fading in and out here in WA.

thanks, I know it was kind of a silly question, I was thinking more along the lines of orbit and curvature of the planet maybe giving it problems. I cant get it half the time in Nor Cal, just foothill around me here.

I can only remember losing the signal 2 times while driving to Skagway and both were very short, a couple minutes when you get behind a hill or something. I know what you mean about the curvature and lines of orbit, I've noticed the satellite TV dishes in Alaska are aimed at a very low angle compared to the lower 48 states.

It hardley works here in Nikiski (just about even with Anchorage as the crow flies). I would not get it if you live in Alaska. Like 6cylinders says, its a pretty low shot.
