Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add
another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000
Now add 10. What is the total?

Okay, now the bonus round:
There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By

imitating the action of brushing one's teeth he successfully
expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is
done.

Now if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of
sunglasses, how should he express himself?

i redid that da** math problem in my head like 4 times and i still got 5000... did it on my calculator 2 different ways and it said 4100! calc must be off... :D

I have seen this before. I still missed 2. Now that is bad.:mad: [laugh]

Horse hauler, 3090+1000=4090+10=4100. 90+10=100 not 1000.[eyecrazy] Maybe I did learn something in college.[laugh]

it's pretty simple ,

1000+1000+1000+1000=4000
40+30+20+10=100
4000+100= oh my gosh , 4100 [laugh]

That works fine if you don't follow the directions. It didn't say to add all the 1000's together and then the little numbers.

See ... sometimes you need to deviate from the established path to get the job done right.
